How to import bookmarks, browsing history and other information to Edge from other browsers
Perhaps with the arrival of the new Edge, you have decided to upgrade to a new browser. If this is your case and you don't know how to import bookmarks, logins, etc., don't worry. This is a very simple process, so we will have all the information that we already have saved in the browser we are using.
Without using third-party applications, only using the options offered by Edge, we can import bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, credit card information, cookies ... and you can import this data from Chrome, from Firefox or from another browser. ... These are the stepladders you need to take.
Import from Chrome, Firefox, Safari ...
If you're using Firefox, Chrome, or another browser and you're starting to use Edge and you want all the data is generated, you just need to navigate through the browser's "Settings" options. Just click on the Edge menu via the three dots in the upper right corner.
We will access the Settings menu, and there we have to look at the Profiles tab that appears on the left side. When entering "Profiles" we have to select "Import favorites from another browser" where, when pressed, Edge offers a drop-down list with different compatible browsers. In my case, Chrome, Firefox (normal version and night version), Safari, and even via HTML file look.
In the case of Firefox, it canister be imported, but with restrictions. We can
also select a profile to import this information, something useful, especially
if the team is shared with other users and each of them has an activated
profile.
There are differences in the information that we can import into Edge depending on the origin of the data that we are about to import. In the case of using Chrome as a source, we can choose between Favorites or Bookmarks, Saved passwords, Personal Information, Billing Information, Browsing history, Settings, Open tabs, and Extensions. ...
If we use Firefox as our data source, we have the option to choose among Favorites or Bookmarks, Personal Information, and Browsing History. On the contrary, from Safari, it solitary allows you to import "Browsing history".
With this system, you can count on Superiority
with all the information (or almost all, depending on the browser) that you
generated with other alternatives such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari and thus
save valuable time by avoiding the need to enter data correctly manually...
